Pours gold with a white head. Smells of dry malt, yeast, some sugar and corn. Tastes of pepper, some caramel, lots of warming alcohol on the finish.

The bottle poured rich clear and golden with pale yellow suds settling quickly into a white ring with lacing. Sweet bread aroma and alcohol. Intense alcohol flavor and rather syrupy palate. The carbonation is adequate. The flavor is one dimensional but tolerable and warming.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is pretty light with with corn, sweet malts, slight floral hops, and a little alcohol. Not really much flavor on this one. What I do get is mostly corn and sweet malts. Finishes with a little alcohol warming but not as much as I thought there would be.

As with all the other eastern block beers I have been rating lately, I picked this one up at Viking Premium Beverage in Grandview. Nose of sweet grain and yeast, with just a hint of pilsish hops.. Pours a sparkling golden yellow. The white frothy head is mostly diminishing and leaves light lace. The front is sweet and alcoholic, the middle has very light acidity, the finish is malty and again sweet. Don’t know how they did it, but the high abv is somehow hidden from the tongue. The light, creamy body is lively. The finish feels slightly metallic.

This is an unusually bland beer for such a high ABV. It tastes like a watery lager with some malt - strangely reminiscent of the Koelsch beer style, but with a higher ABV. Somehow it does not really taste of alcohol to me, but kind of semi-sweet, with a faintness of caramel. Overall the palate is boring and simplistic. Brownie points for its hefty ABV though.

(Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of Juicy Fruit gum, caramel, light floral, and freshly ground grain. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, grass, and cereal.

Nice orange coloured body with a very thin white head. Aroma of golden delicious apples, apricots, hops, a bit of malt and some honey. Medium-bodied; Super...I mean SUPER strong taste of malt, alcohol, metal, blood and more alcohol. This tastes like a very cheap vodka up front, then fades to more ’beery’ flavours. Aftertaste shows some malt, a tiny bit of hops - and you guessed it, more metal, blood and ALCOHOL! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased (haven’t ever seen this in Washington DC at all) at Joe’s Place in Oklahoma City (Norman), Oklahoma on 15 November 2007.

Bottle. Honey body with a quarter inch foamy head. Nose-cinnamon, Juicy Fruit gum, aggressive nose. Taste-medium CO2, medium sweetness, fruity, melon, apricot, powdery candy, very powdery, strawberry, alcohol, strawberry quick, perfumey., In the end it is good but too sweet.
