Drew (2406), Kent, Ohio, USA Feb 6, 2006 Lucky drinker’s at Ray’s in Kent - another odd Lithuanian ale! I could tell that Kyle was quite thrilled to bring out a couple of new beers that I hadn’t tried yet. This was a surprise - thought it might be a porter from what we could read of the label. Poured dark amber brown, mostly clear with some decent head and lacing. Interesting combination of caramel / burnt sugar, and a roasty hoppy finish. Traditional ale? - sure, it’d be hard to classify it as anything else! Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jul 22, 2004 Dark golden brown with no head. Quite sweet and caramelly. Smooth, lightly oily. Clean toffeeish malt notes. Semi-sweet finish with nutty and chocolatey notes. omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 19, 2004 Bottled. Mahogany colour. Woody port like aroma. Sweet and clean with notes of raisin. Some alcohol balanced by generous amounts of roasty malt.
