cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 17, 2007 Rated 3/25/06: "Attractive amber color slightly sweet rich taste of malt and a slight aroma of hops", this description was found on the back of the bottle and it sums up this beer rather well. This lager pours a dark golden color with a tinge of amber. There is an ample amount of carbonation that immediately produces a thick head. Soon after the pour the carbonation dissapears and the thick head is reduced to a pencil thin ring around the glass, a minimal amount of lacing is left. The aroma basically consists of sweet malt, it is different than any other beer that I have sampled. I was not sure of the flavor of this beer at first, it is malty with a hint of hops. The malts have a unique sweetness, perhaps the water plays a role in the flavor. Halfway through the first bottle I began to really appreciate the taste, and the second bottle was pure satisfaction. There is a strange candy-like aftertaste and I like it. The mouthfeel is somewhat full and the finish is good, overall a very unique and tasty beer especially if you are in the mood for something far from standard. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Apr 23, 2007 Bottle. Golden coloured with a small white head. Sweet and malty with notes fruit and flowers. Finish somewhat alcoholic and dry. Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 30, 2007 Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of lycee fruit, and other fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruits - especially lycee, leading to a dry and slightly alcoholic end. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jul 23, 2004 Golden colour. Light sparkle. Slightly sweet with bready malts and alcohol. Wettish finish, with another big shot of alcohol. Considering how most of these beers can hide 9+ %, it’s disappointing that the alcohol is so prominent in a beer of only 7%. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 21, 2004 Sampled draught in Biržai
Golden colour. Fairly sweet and lightly fruity. Medium bodied, salty and fairly clean. Only some bitterness. Despite it’s name it lacks the traditional flavours of the region’s beers.
