The aroma is all caramal and malts with rotten fruit. The flavor is much of the same with a touch of alcohol. There are some bread and biscuit notes as well. finishes very clean.......its not too bad. boFNjackson (1318), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Bottle... Poured orange with a thin head that faded immediately. Spicy, biscuit aroma. Not much flavor in this bad boy. Malted grains that were sweet overall and a dab of alcohol that was really unobtrusive. I think this brew’s only means is to get you drunk without you actually tasting much. Aggie80 (709), Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Cloudy orange pour with foam and some lacing. Lots of carbonation. Aroma of cloves and spices. Touch of burn from the higher alcohol content. Certainly work trying and wouldn’t turn it down. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Pours a two finger off-white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Crystal clear, amber color. Malty nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel finish. The high ABV is hidden. Decent strong lager, big improvement over their 5% version. $4.50 for a 500ml bottle from Tullys Beer & Wine Wells, Me. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Strange name, strange label. Pours clear dark gold with a fading white head. Corny toffee aroma. Not surprisingly, this translates almost directly to the taste. Medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Almost nothing in the finish. Probably a great choice if you want to get hammered efficiently without spending a lot of money. I didn’t get the Lobster and Lover connection at all, then it hit me... they’re going for that certain "je ne sais quoi" that one normally associates with only the finest bumwines.
