Pours a muted golden color with a good sized whitish head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is actually quite nice...lots of sweet malt, corn, some faint hops, and a splash of citrus and honey mixed in for good measure. Flavor is sweet with some dark fruit accents in at the beginning, Alcohol is VERY prevalent from start to finish..., and definitely has a warming sensation on the after-palate. Too carbonated as well...very bubbly and hard to drink quickly. Finish is very tinny and somewhat unpleasant. Oh well, wasn’t expecting a miracle out of this one, so I’m not depressed. I can say I grabbed life by the claws tonight!

Immediately after tasting this brew I know the style. It is a Slavic style high ABV brew with not especially much going on. That is one side. On the other side I appreciate the high ABV and size because I know it will be more satisfying as a beer. On the whole, I give it a good rating, due to its good value, especially as a cheaper beer.

Pours a two finger off-white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Crystal clear, amber color. Malty nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel finish. The high ABV is hidden. Decent strong lager, big improvement over their 5% version. $4.50 for a 500ml bottle from Tullys Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

A - lots of earthy wheat and light fruit spices, orange zest 7.5 v - clear pale orange color with little head retention 3 T - sour note that matures alongside a ild citrusy cloying note. Taste is pretty mild, but good 7.5 P - smooth, with an almost vodka like pucker in the throat from the nearly 10% ABV

16.9 oz bottle. Pours golden with 1.5 cm white, mostly diminishing head. Aroma is sweet, mostly apple, a little yeasty. Initial flavor is sweet, balanced citrus and apple. Flavor ends on slight yeasty and apple notes and the alcohol catches up at this point. The aftertaste is dominated by the alcohol content. A thinner body, moderate carbonation, alcohol is noticeable as it warms. The flavor of cherry cola only comes out for the aftertaste once the beer warms. Stronger alcohol aroma when the beer warms. Drinkable beer and a nice change of pace from other beers I generally take home.

I was a little shy of this one, but it was really a nice smooth drinkable beer. Not too heavy, with a distinct aftertaste. At only 2 bucks for a 500mL, this is definately a good buy.

Know what? Screw it. I’m addin’ this beer and if it turns out to be an alias then somebody can move or delete my rating. Anyway, What’s up with the name? And how did the beer pop up in Knoxville, TN, of all places? This is fairly typical of other Central or Eatern European lages, although there seems to be a bit more lemon or some other citrus in the aroma. Body is surprisingly crisp, considering the ABV, Flavor is sweet, but not overly so. More notes of citrus in the flavor, with a touch of apple. Usually I buy these Malt Liqu... I mean European Strong Lagers for the rating (so sue me...) but I would considering buying this one again.

500 ml. Golden and clear with a four finger head that lasts for a while. Aroma is spicy pollen and some honey. Flavor is mild menthol-honey mix that has a honey and herb-grass, slightly drier finish. Pretty balanced and drinkable for 9.5. Light-medium body is smooth and has a crisp finish.
