This beer was given to me by a neighbor who purchased it in Florida. The name on the bottle is "Zaibo". It had a pretty cool lable. It poured a light copper with a thin head. Alcohol and dough on the aroma. It is friggin’ powerful! Some dark fruits, bread, alcohol, and a hint of citrus on the tongue. It reminded me of maybe a cross between something like Colt 45 and Chimay Blue.

My bottle says 9.0% ABV. Dark golden color with a short lasting head. Sweet malty aroma along with some wet cardboard. Maple malt flavor with a smokey flavor that is difficult to describe, yet seems to be balanced. I’m going to stick with smokey, but I think there are other flavors going on here. Darkover may be right with the banana description. I know, what do banana and smoke flavor have in common? I don’t know, taste the stuff for yourself! Lots of post-quaff alcohol flavor and warmth. Far more complex than American malt liquor; weird, yet likeable. Really different.

Golden color with a white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of sweet malt and alcohol. Grainy, sweet malt taste. Lingering warm alcohol finish. Not very complex but not bad for what it is.

Golden yellow. Light fizz. Mostly acidic. no real hoppy flavor. The alcohol was great but this beer was absolutely unmemorable. ho-hum.

Golden color with a thick white head. Aroma and flavor of sweet grainy malt and bananas. Pretty similar to malt liquor.

500 ml bottle, no discernible freshness date.
Clear copper with a fluffy white, short lived head.
Sweet grainy aroma, dough, cooked banana.
Taste is ultra grainy, a little bitterness in the finish. Alcohol warms the belly. Wasn’t too bad cold but it got progressivly worse as it warmed up. Could not finish bottle, and would not try again.

Pours golden in color. Aroma is some sweetness from the malt and alcohol. Not much complexity going on here. Taste is pretty much the same. No discernable malt or hop profiles. Average.

Poured a light gold color with a 1 finger head that lasted a couple mins. Aroma of grains, semi sweet dough, traces of spicey perfume and hints of malt. Tastes pretty much how it smells. Sticky towards the end. Good stuff and decent bang for the buck. Or should I say $1.49 half liter. I’ll buy much more of this in the future.
