Commercial Description:
A crisp hoppy German-style pilsner beer. The beer is defined by a mild malt finish and assertive, but not overwhelming, hop character.

A nice refreshing German style pilsner. Crisp and clean with a mild hop bite. Flavor was quite complex with some maltiness coming through. Quite refreshing.

Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a hint of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Rather nice, actually. Bright hop nose. Not bitter enough, but pretty decent otherwise.

12 oz. bottle. Purchased at Trader Joe’s in Santa Fe. IBU 37, O.G. 1.048, ABV 5.4%. Pours a medium white head, over a pale (SRM 3) slightly hazy body......nose is biscuit, bread, grass, spice.....taste initially is mild sweet with base malts, finishing with a crisp hop finish....mouth feel is medium as is carbonation. All of the characteristics from the brewery meet the Pilsner style, and the nose and taste do also. This brewery is apparently doing better than before.

I don’t know what beer Hoss and Shag were drinking but I thought this was decent. Pours a very thin yellow with a wisp of head. Fragrant aroma- lightly fruity and flowery. Body is thin but crisp and refreshing with hints of honey and apples. Decent

Draught. Soapy head and straw colored body. Fragrance of floral hops and hints of melon, citrus, and honey. Grassy hop flavor plus a non-hop bitterness oddly suggestive of citrus peels. The palate is crisp and bitter. Decent beer.

Aroma is of......nothing! Appearance is a cloudy yellow with a small head. Flavor is crisp with little else going on. A slightly creamy aftertaste. Very much a lawnmower beer bringing very little to the table. Standard lager.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with big frothy white head that is lasting. Good lace. Aroma is light malt, some sour milk, some grass, and some light citrus. Light in body with a thin texture that is moderately carbonated. Flavor short in duration with lightly bitter finish. Seems to be a decent pils. Overall light and refreshing with nothing overtly bad in the beer. I will avoid in the future, but I cannot blame the beer just my tastes.

Clear golden with little carbonation or head, yet some air adhered to the glass. It has the aroma of a vegetable basket, very earthy. This is a smooth drinker, but flat. It’s pungent without any bitterness. An odd malt-sweet blend. My old experiences with Rio Grande was inconsistency.
