Commercial Description:
Outlaw Lager is a full-bodied copper lager. This hoppy brew is one of the last remaining examples of America's only indigenous beer style. This "bastard lager" is fermented at ale temperatures producing esters that add complexity to its clean finish.

Golden-amber colour. Heavy aroma of caramel and fresh malts. Watery body with light malt flavour. Where did those fresh grains go? I wouldn’t have pegged this as a steam beer, though.

Light brown with a touch of ruby in it. Thin head. Aroma is quite toasty, grainy and heavily caramelized. Flavour is a bit nutty, light caramel and a touch of charcoal. Strange combination of flavours in such a thin-bodied beer.

Good malty drink. It pours from the bottle a deep amber color with barely any lacing, let alone a head. Nice roasted malt aroma with a touch of grassiness. Very smooth mouthfeel, but perhaps a bit watery. Tastes of roasted malts, mildly sweet, with a subtle hop balance. Very clean finish.

Malty, aroma has plenty of caramel, butterscotch, honey and dark fruit. Dark copper-amber coloured body with shy, off-white, head that diminishes to thin ring. Malty flavour has some notes of butterscotch and toffee but seems somewhat flat and papery. Mild finishing bitterness keeps it from cloying. Medium-light body is somewhat sticky. Carbonation is unfortunately almost non-existent. Bottle. Thanks, Degarth!

Poured a clear amber colorwith a small off-white head. Caramel, toasty and grainy aroma. Sweet. Water malt and a hint of citrus. Thin and watery. Light bitterness on the dry finish.

Medium dark amber color. Small to no head. Aroma is caramel, sweet and honey. A medium to light bodied ale. Malts are fruity and estery, with a touch of cardboard and honey. Hops are slightly bitter. Not really sure just what this beer is supposed to be. The main flavors are malts, think of a nearly flat watered down coke, and the hops are mostly missing. WHATEVER…..At least this bottle was drinkable; the first was so bad I poured it out before even pouring it in the glass. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a large touch of cardboard.

Very dark amber color with almost no head. Obverse sugary-malty, alcohol-heavy character with no bitterness. No body to this weakling.
