Commercial Description:

English: A beer after the traditional recipe of brewmaster Stig Anker Andersen, this beer is a real adventure for the taste buds. It looks good and tastes great. The deep mahogany-red color is derived from a mixture of Pale Ale barley malt, caramel malt, black malt and toasted wheat. The hops used are English First Gold and American Cascade. The taste is complex, first malty with a tinge of liquorice, followed by a fantastic aromatic and fruity and bitter aftertaste. Especially imported English brewer’s yeast and local ground water is used for this unique brew.

Bottle. Very nice sweet aroma of chocolate, some roasted malt and a hint of burned coffee. Dark brown colour with light brown head. Well balanced sweet malt flavour mixed with hops. Dominating chocolate flavour. Surprisingly light for such a dark brew and not overwhelmingly sweet.
