19-DEC-2009, bottle @home. Dark amber/red with low beige head. Not much on the nose except some undefinable malty aromas like charamel. Taste is far bette with very fruity, dark berry -like taste, charamel, and brown sugar. Very sweet, medium carbonation, a little light on the palate. Fine, borring, not overly X-mas-like.

Dark, red color. Sweet, fruity aroma with strong raspberries and some pine and fresh grass. Sweet flavor with more raspberries and apricots and hints of pine, based by a characteristic alcohol.

500ml bottle (Fish and Beer?, Denmark) - gift from Dr. Space
Deep red, tiny head. Pours with a cakey, spicy, fruity sweet doughy aroma, upon settling, it’s more cocoaey. Crisp carbonation, watery palate, and massive spike of retronasal esters, some whiteboard markers perhaps. In the mouth it’s much more roasty, really tasty, delicious pull-it-off-the-side-of-the-baking-tin burnt cakiness. Those esters, though, are just a little too much.

0.7 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark amber color. Caramelly, chocolate and berryish aroma with dark sugar and licorice. Sweet, caramelly, toasty, candyish, almondy and berryish flavor with british hops. Thick fairly carbonated mouthfeel, not drinkable.

Bottle. Dark red colour with a thick beige head. Spicy aroma of malt, caramel, sugar and some alcohol. Taste: Quite bitter with some sweetness and spices. Strange soapy note also.
