Commercial Description:
Formerly known as "Rise Stout Kong Arthur".

Deep black color, no head. Light toasted-coffeish aroma. Quite light palate for being 6%. Licorice and some metallic notes dominate the flavor. Toasted aftertaste. Very simple stout.

Dark brown with a medium beige creamy looking head. Aroma had roasted malt, coffee and hints of chocolate. Flavour had burned malt, smoke, wood, tobacco, coffee, dark bitter chocolate and a dry and bitter finish. NOt bad at all.

Bottle. Very black, low brown head. Light smoke, tar and licorice aroma. Medium dry body, slightly flat. coffee, roast, licorice, tar. Dry on the tongue. Chocolate retronasal. Shows quite a bit of promise and does remind me of old sailboats, but lacks the last oumpf to put it over the top.
