No way this is an IPA!
It starts alright, with a nice orange/golden colour and a fine white head.
BUT the aroma is dissappointing. Sweet pilsner-like, just much sweeter with mostly light malts.
No hoppy bitterness, but a slight bitterness in the end that must come from hops, but just feels metalic. No grape fruit, no pine!
Why make an IPA, if you do not care to buy the right hóps?

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2009 0.5 L bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours clear golden with a small off-white head. Low visable carbonation. Weak malty aroma, some hops as well. Taste is not a typical IPA, there is almost no hops at all here, the taste is light sweet pale malts, only a light hoppy bite towards the end, but not enough to hurt anyone.Mouthfeel is watery, some sour notes. abemorsten (190), Randaberg, Norway
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Pours clear yellow golden with white frothy head. Light malt, flowers, fresh herbs, faintly mettallic on the nose. Sour sweet in the mouth. Tastes a bit off, like a mixture of broth and fermented pear. Light to medium body. Syrupy texture. Soft carbonation and light alcoholic finish. larsga (2992), Oslo, Norway
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Medium offwhite head. Coppery body. Raisiny roasty linoleum aroma with gasoline notes. Sweet-dry raisiny perfumy taste with plastic earth notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry roasty perfumy baking soda aftertaste with cinnamon notes. Not really very successful. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, off-white head. Citrus, grass, some cheesy notes and a doughy, grainy maltyness in the back. Quite nice though. Slightly lemony-sour fruity flavor with pale malts and a herbal-like bitterness. Dry and medium-bodied. Not much bitterness, neither initially nor in the very end. I think it’s to push it to name it IPA, but it’s a quite refreshing one, leading my thoughts more to a golden ale, except it’s bigger. Even though it’s not a very good one, I could easily down a few in the summer heat. 091005
