Commercial Description:
This unfiltered wheat ale has hints of banana and clove. A great thirst quencher! This is a traditional bavarian weizen. It is more spicy than other wheat beers.

Draft at the California Brewers Festival as Harvest Weizen. Hazy gold with a white head. Medum body with creamy carbonation. Aroma of banana ester. Banana flavor with citrus and a touch of spice in the finish. Spice notes.

Apparently it was brewed in the Bavarian tradition. Kind of hazy golden. This one did not show any signs of this. It was bland with light wheat notes and a moderate zesty finish I guess. Perhaps a light fruitiness, but in minute amounts. Not all that great.

Tasted in Sac at the brewery. Pours a bright golden, hardly foggy at all- head is medium sized. Aroma is faint of wheat but taste is suprisingly weak of sweet, fruity flavors. More like an american wheat.

Cloudy golden. Light banana and foot on the nose. Banana and very sweet, but with a tart wheaty, spritzy finish. Refreshing despite the initial sugar blast.

Draft. Hazy amber beer with a nice white head. Lemony aroma with some wheat. Clean nicely balanced malt/wheat flavor. Gets a bit tiring, but that may be just me and american wheat beers. Not a big wheat bite.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: ’Unfiltered’ that’s pretty clear. Lemon on rim masks the banana odor, but taste is clearly banana. Pleasant mild beer
