Commercial Description:
With its deep golden hue, this pale ale is crafted with a generous blend of fresh Oregon and noble British hops. Aromatic and medium bodied, Jackson Pale is a fine example of the rebirth of hoppy American pale ales

on tap-pours an off white head and amber color. Aroma is faint citrus hops and medium malt. Taste is mild citrus hops, medium malt-caramel. Lots of effervescence on the front of the tongue that gives a seltzer quality, easy drinking. OK carbonation.

Slight sprucey nose, dark golden appearance. Slight citrus flavor, good creamy mouthfeel. Overall a decent APA for a brewpub.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 36. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Jacksonville Florida. This brew poured a small head of fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a uncarbonated transparent orange brown colored body. It had a very mild malt aroma with no notable hop presence. The mouthfeel was smooth and tingly from start to finish. The flavor also contained no notable hop presence and was all malt.

Draft at RCBC in Jacksonville. First of all, this beer did not taste much like an APA as there was very, very little hoppiness to it; thus, the low rating. It had a small sized off-white head that contained fine-large bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was uncarbonated and slightly cloudy with a yellow-gold hue. The nose was very lightly hopped as was the flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth and this was a light bodied APA with sparse lacing.

The aroma holds stale herbal hops and a ligtly caramel accented malt base. The body is a dark amber and holds a wispy, bubbly white head. Caramel malt, herbal notes some cereal grains and scant else. I get the impression this brewery is trying very hard not to put any flavor in their beers.

Draft... Clear copper ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Earthy, herbal aroma of black tea, grapefruit and spent mash. Medium bitter, grainy flavor. Thin and fizzy. Short, crisp finish.

Light on the hops, light on the malt and lacking body. Eh. Reddish amber with a thin off-white head. Some extracty malt flavor. Pretty poor.

On tap at the River City brewpub. Pours copper with off white head and spotty lacing. The faint aroma is just about nothing at all. Actually I can’t smell nothin’! The taste has a bit of roasted malt organic off putting notes mixing with mild to faint levels of spiced apple wedges, tart apple skins and a wafer thin layer of vague hoppiness.
