On tap at the River City brewpub. Pours hazy copper with gold edges and white head. The aroma has vague hops, malts, caramel and butterscotch. The taste is much the same with vague hop bitterness, some malts, a bit of roastiness, caramel and diacetyl butteriness.

Tap @ brewpub. Should have known better ... should have known. pours light orange, white head. Aroma, some yeasty elements, hops seem to be somewhere out there, and once again this bad apple nose. Flavor, some malts, faint hops, did anyone say it was an IPA? Same flavor as the rest of their beers, bad, old, mostly flavorless, boring with the hops being overly muted. Jax is not about to win the superbowl with this nasty brew.

Poured as the Brewery’s seasonal offering. An IPA, I was excited. Clear yellow, aroma of butter...hints of infection? Is it diacytl?? Flavor lacks malt. It is all flavor of hop and its bitterness. Yup, this IPA has nothing going for it but a bunch of hops and river water. 25 July 09

IPA-on tap-pours an off white head and gold color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, secondary citrus hops. Taste is citrus-grapefruit/floral/metallic hops, secondary light/medium malt-slightly sweet. A bit of seltzer.

Again the beer looked good, copper with a white head. The aroma was malty (toffee-like), a little hops (floral), and then a weird oaky wood aroma. The flavor was decent bitterness and a little malt balance.
