River City Chisholm Trail Pale Ale

I have almost nothing good to say about this beer. Why would you ever nitro a pale ale? Foamy head literally covered the entire sampler glass. Please pass on this one.

I hate to do this, but as with the Emerald City Stout, I see what was probably an at least average beer absolutely ruined by nitrogen. My server "warned" me that this brew was nitrogenated, and that it might seem flat. Well, it was. I could detect the Golding hops, having just used some in a recent batch of homebrew. Other than that, nitro dominated the beer. I’ve had many beers with a metallic taste, but this was the first with a metallic smell. Yuck. A little too sweet and/or underhopped in my opinion, but honestly it is hard to tell beneath the mess made by the nitro. Please fix this! I’ll try it again!
