tomciccateri (463), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Aug 18, 2008 On draught at the 2007 Parkville Brewers Festival. Pours a dense dark gold with a big hop-over-malt flavor balance. PhillyBeer2112 (1853), Orange Park, Florida, USA Mar 26, 2003 Updated: Oct 11, 20042004 Recipe: A bit of a letdown. The hops have changed to a blend of Cascade and Centennial, with EKG for dry-hopping. The aroma is a nice blast of grapefruity resin, and the bitter finish is solid, but that's only because the malt is essentially absent. Pale gold, very dry, as close to a "no malt, hop-juice" beer as there is.
Lightly hazy red-amber color. Med strength aroma with notes of citrus (grapefruit) and resin. Notable citric/piney hop flavor, with medium caramel malt backbone. Nice balance, and pretty close to the way I like my IPAs. Fairly smooth, tingly mouthfeel. Bitter, almost puckering finish.
