bleeng (308), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Oct 31, 2007 Served in a 22 oz. pilsner glass during happy hour at the brewery-for $2!! Dark gold with a small head and too cold. Highly hopped (dry hopped??) nose. Tastes like a hop bomb with minimal/no malt background. A good beer that needs to be served in the proper glassware at the proper temperature. I’d have another one if offered. Indra (1845), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA May 27, 2007 Draught, Randallized, sampled at the Parkville Micro Fest. Highly citric and piney aroma, fresh, leafy and juicy, with a touch of toasty, bready, grainy malts in the background. Light-medium golden amber color, hazy, with a fine head. Flavor profile is almost entirely hop-focused, just a touch of malty sweetness to balance out the massively citric, bitter hop profile. Smooth, creamy and resinous on the palate with a medium-full body. Very flavorful and hoppy IPA, perhaps even a bit too far in that direction, ultimately, but its hard to fault an IPA for being too hoppy, and this is practically a Double IPA. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2007 On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours an amber golden with a medium white head. Semi-sweet in flavor with a big floral bolus that hits you subsequent to the sweetness. Not an amazing beer, but good. tjthresh (1328), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Apr 30, 2007 Sampled at the Parkville Microbrewers Festival. Served through a Randel. Hazed amber with zero head. Really nice dank hop aroma, with some bubble gum notes. The flavor was straight up lawn clippings, with a wallop of bitterness. The palate was light, dry, and very easy to drink. This was my first "Randel-ized" beer. Not sure if I cared for that too much. PhillyBeer2112 (1862), Orange Park, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2007 This was a pleasant surprise. Big resiny grapefruit nose, must’ve been dry hopped. Lots of sweet, and very clean malts in there, even though the palate was on the weaker side. Plenty of resiny hop flavors, and more citric. Medium bitter finish. A fine IPA and one of their better achievements. Pale gold color.
