| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Pours a dark coppery brown with a small head that goes away quickly. Carbonated a little too much for a belgian ale, and not as deep as I’d prefer. Seemed to have a strong taste of peanuts and toffee with a strange and unpleasant sourness to it. Maybe I got a bad bottle. Definitely tastes a little funny. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2005 12oz bottle pours dark brown with a small offwhite head that laces some. Aroma is plum, raisin, a hint of brown sugar, and some apple. Flavor is raisin, caramel, apple, raisin, and a bit of plum and just a touch of toffee. Palate is medium bodied and not carbonated much. Feels nice in the mouth though. This is a pretty tasty matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2005 Acknowledgments to the RateBeer beer trader that sent me this brew many months ago!
The body pours a clean bronze body; atop rest a fluffy tan head. The aroma and flavor brought some placid notes apricot, plum, apple and a hit of raisins. There was a pleasant crusty yeastiness that blended well with the malts, similar to a mix of a Melba-Toast cracker, cardbord and a flaky biscuit. Some toffee and brown sugar, a hint of beet shugar…. This reminds me of a Saison, Triple, Ambree blending… some of the funky horsy fustic flavors of the Saison; The color, fruitiness and toffee malts of the Ambree, and the buttered fruit and spicy balance of the Triple. A strange beer…. But I liked it! weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2005 Appears a dark brown with tiny bubbles rising to the top with an off white head that sticks around. Slight lacing is left behind.
Smell is of vanilla, caramel, raisins, figs, brown sugar, and cola. Close to Belgian but not quite there.
Taste is of the same aroams with a slight bitterness and a touch of sweet and sourness being buried in this one.
Mouthfeel is smooth, lowly carbonated with a slight bitterness and dryness that probably comes from a cocoa powder.
Drinkability is good. This is not a bad beer for a brewery out of Jersey.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2005 Got this from a friend of mine. Said he didn’t care for it. He’s right about one thing:it doesn’t taste like Keystone. Dark amber color, beige soapy head, heavy on the malts for taste, a bit spicy to close. beerbill (1962), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Pours deep amber. Malty and warming. Although this has an ABV of 7.5%, I got more of an alcohol burn out of this beer than their Tripel, which is 10% ABV, which is I guess what makes it a winter warmer! Maybe if it wasn’t 100 degrees out when I tried it, I would have appreciated that more! Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
