Pours a deep brown, and a strong aroma of yeast. Taste is very ordinary and the aftertaste is overly metallic. A miss, a definite miss.

A dark coloured ale, with a sour yeasty aroma, and a sour yeasty taste, something like a Belgian shwartzbier. Medium mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation, like Dr. Pepper. Not bad, drinkable. a fair Belgian ale.

Best of their beer, still not good. Poured dark brown with a small head. Aroma is caramel and sweet malt. Flavor very caramel, no belgian characteristics noted.

Pours a darker copper color with a tan head. Aroma is of slight roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, molasses, dark fruitiness, and slightly nutty. Flavor starts off with the roasted flavors that five way to the dark fruit, nuttiness, and sweet malts. Decent flavor at first but doesn’t last very long. An okay brew but is nothing special.

Dark amder-brown color, with a small beige head, sweet toasted and caramelized malt nose, with a nutmeg and vanilla spiciness accent, with some toffee and nutty notes, dark fruit aromas of plums, dates, follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty sweet grainy biscuity and toasted malt character, with some a bready dough accent, a nutty, caramel and toffeeish mouthfeel, the alcohol is well hidden for a 8%, fruity flavors of dark dried fruits, mainly dates, sultanas, leading towards a toasty malt, faint hopas bittering finish.

Pours a dark amber/brown, no foam at all, very little carbonation. Taste is rather unpleasant, cloyingly sweet, then with a metallic/bitter finish. Yuck. The rest of the six-pack is a drain pour. Stay away from this stinker.

Bottle from Shawan Liquors in Cockeysville, MD. Pours deep amber with a nice diminishing tan head. Aroma of yeast, cobwebs, apple, and dark fruits. Texture is a tad thin for the style. Initial flavor of sugary raisens, toasted grains, wheat malt, and yeast. This transitions to mildy bitter finish, with some semi-unpleasant band aid like phenols. This starts off well, but loses major points on the finish.
