Hazy, dark gold appearance with a large white head and modest lacing. Sweet, fruity, spicy aroma evolves from a yeasty start. Smooth, moderately spiced, wheaty taste. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering, slightly tart, finish.

On draft at the GL.  Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head.  Aroma of wheat, yeast and spice.  Taste of spicy hops and wheat.

12oz bottle. Darker than expected orange-tan colored beer with a very frothy, thick head. 7% hardly justifies the "Double" categorization or the hefty price tag for a sixer, but this is a great beer. Lacy smooth mouthfeel, with some Belgian candi sugar tastes in there potentially. Sweet and creamy, with lots of Wit spices coming through as well. A top notch beer from River Horse, perhaps the best I’ve had from them.

Bottle. Pours turbid dull gold with white head. Nose is malty, citric, limey, with floral and white pepper notes. Tastes crisp and clean with a solid balance of limey citrus, spicy hops, and yeasty malt.

Decent color with a cloudy, yeasty appearance. Flavor is as one would expect for the style and the quality of River Horse. I can taste a bit more alcohol than I would expect from a 7%er.

Thanks to Markus for the bottle! Poured cloudy medium golden with a tall, well-retained, fluffy cap of white head.. some chunky sediment in there. The aroma was drier with dusty wheat and bananas.. white pepper overtones.. touch of lemon on the zest.. very well balanced. Semi-sweet banana and white pepper again in the flavor.. spicier on the back with some overt alcohol.. floral notes and a little light fruit on the middle.. warm peppery finish. Medium-plus bodied with a touch of dry cardboard at the edges.. spicy finish was alright. Good brew.

An orange color with a small white head. Lot’s of fruit and spice aroma. Taste is a bit dry and lot’s of citric notes. A nice finish and an overall excellent brew. Yet another great summer beer.

12oz bottle. Pale golden color with a very large rocky white head. Heavy spicy aromatics; coriander, citrus zest, bubblegum, and clove. Sharp spiciness upfront, melange of aroma characters. Grainy, wheaten flavor then asserts itself. Fruity esters and floral perfumey spice linger in the finish, with heavy residual wheat. Mouthfeel is a light medium, somewhat dry.
