| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Pours a cloudy light orange color with a small off white head. Musty, fruity aroma, alor of orange peel and grapefruit, with hops backing it up. More malty in the flavor than hoppy, not extremely lively or exciting in the least bit, but nothing seemingly wrong with it. Mild hops and citrus fruit are both present, which form together to give it a sweet character. The hops push through a little in the finish, but not much. Not really bitter at all, which was interesting. Seems the frutiness of it blocks it our somewhat. Not a bad pale at all. dmradus (225), State College, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 2, 2007 Standard pale ale here, by the numbers. Amber, hazy, fading white cap. Aroma is citrus hop. A bit of soap in the taste which is off-putting, with a malt component that doesn’t really work for me - kind of sickly sweet, caramelly, with an earthy component that doesn’t belong. jeremytoni (1116), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Bottle. Poured a clear dark-amber color with a light white head. Slight lacing. Nice malty aroma. Nice, full mouthfeel. Flavor doesn’t match up to the aroma or mouthfeel. Not very hoppy for a pale ale. I don’t feel like this is an IPA. Not horrible, but not for a hop head. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottle, thanks Blankboy. Huge sweet caramel aroma, with some woody hops. Too sweet - off putting. Looks nice - deep mahogany, small bubble white head. Taste - nice pale malt, with tons of woody caramel notes - like aroma, too much. Medium mouthfeel. A good beer buried by the sweetness. ChainGangGuy (2592), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Appearance: Pours a reddish copper-hued, clear body with a loosely organized, thin ring of white bubbles set around the far edge of the beer. Posivitely headless!
Smell: Little else besides a light, bready malt aroma with just a bit of grassiness.
Taste: Middling, sweet malt dough flavor. Some citrusy hops, however faint, finally present themselves in the abrupt, dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Somewhat watery.
Drinkability: Though one might think a "Hop Hazard" would imply some sort of hop-based danger or calamity, its nothing of the sort - I hereby propose a change of title to "Precious Hop Kitten". bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
