Commercial Description:
Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.

Pours a two finger cream head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving a little lace. Cloudy amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Floral/hoppy nose. Starts hoppy, midway some mellow sweetness, finish is hoppy/bitter. $1.75 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

On tap at the Drafting Room in Springhouse. Pours a golden orange amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma was sweet and malty, really kind of having a hard time picking out much hop. More dark fruits than hops for some reason. with a beer called Hop Hazard I was expecting a lot more hops. Flavor was more of a malty sweetness than any presence of hops. Maybe it was because I had a Pliney the Elder before this, but I wanted more hops and didn’t get it on this one.

Bottle. Poured dark amber with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly. Good hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Solid well balanced citrus hop flavor with a dry bitter finish.

Pours a clear light copper color with a thin ring of white head. Dry earthy hop aroma has some toasty caramel notes. Body starts with a mildly dry, bready and bittersweet flavor finishing with some piney hop bitterness. Pretty bland overall.

Sampled on draught at the brewery in Lambertville, NJ. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden to light amber color, with a thick, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is fragrant with aromas of citrus hops, grapefruit, and lemon. The palate is firm, with some nice pale and caramel malt flavor, paired with a nice back drop of estery, "juicy" fruit flavor. Hop Hazard finishes with more pale malt and esters up front, then ends with a mild citrus hop bitterness that slightly lingers. A well made, solid, very drinkable American Pale Ale. Hop heads won’t go crazy, but this is a nice session brew, one you would match well with a number of different dishes, from pub grub to spicy fare, and makes for a nice session brew.

12 oz bottle. Very hazy deep golden coloured beer. Great hoppy aroma. Light caramel crystal malt, tropical fruit, grapefruit and mango with some nice fresh toasted grain aroma going on in back as well. Flavour matches the aroma pretty well. Fresh fruity hops, some crystal sweetness, caramel and toast. Bitterness is quite moderate but there is some lingering resiny notes as well. A bit too much sweetness, especially once it starts to warm a bit. Still, not a bad brew.

hazy brownish orange color with a large foamy white head. aroma of hops and sweet malts. Smooth hoppy flavor that is not too complex, but the body and balance of this brew dont detract from its overall score. American Pale Ales just arent that interesting.

Poured a hazy copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma of toffee maltiness. Also notes of sugar, citrusy hop and oranges. Flavor was "dirty" and kind of odd. Artificial candy flavor. Moderately bitter and dry on the finish. Dull and lifeless.
