Commercial Description:
Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.

Good hoppy beer, but a little dry and bitter. Has a good aroma and taste, but it could stand to be balanced a little better

Pours a nice amber with creamy head that dissipates rather quickly. Hoppy. Medium-strong body. Very bitter finish is the most memorable characteristic of this good beer.

Not being a huge pale ale fan... That said this was decent. Malt balance and hop finish. Not up there with the best of the style.

Upside: I like hoppy beers with an abundance of malt and this is definately the best pick of the sampler pack. The dry hop flavor predominates over a layer of maltiness. This is a good Pale Ale. Downside:: its a bit dry in the aftertaste department. I find it somewhat watery as well but that provides some balance. Nothing orginal but it fits the style very well.

On tap at River Horse. Hoppy as hell, though not painful. Delicious beer in many ways.

Bottle from Lou18. Copper/amber colored with a fair off-white head. Poured this one a little cold. Fair floral hop aroma with nice citrus notes also. Medium bodied. Initial hop bitterness is a bit sharp and harsh. Decent malt backbone balances the hops nicely.

This amber ale has a smooth buttery caramel aroma and a mild hop bitterness. Though the hops are more noticable than with some other brews it is still a pleasing taste easily enjoyable for the hop lovers.

Crystal clear golden body with mild carbonation and a cottony off-white head. The exceptional clarity puzzles me for a beer that is prominently advertised on the bottle as dry-hopped. Cheesy, catty hop aroma with a dry nutty quality. Flavor is very hoppy with a dirty, high co-humulone quality. Malts are there but lack sufficient character to balance this beer out. Mostly dry with medium bitterness in the finish. Thanks to erway for spontaneously giving me this bottle.
