The dry hop flavor predominates over a layer of maltiness. This is a good Pale Ale. Downside:: its a bit dry in the aftertaste department. I find it somewhat watery as well but that provides some balance. Nothing orginal but it fits the style very well. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2005 Bottle from Lou18. Copper/amber colored with a fair off-white head. Poured this one a little cold. Fair floral hop aroma with nice citrus notes also. Medium bodied. Initial hop bitterness is a bit sharp and harsh. Decent malt backbone balances the hops nicely. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 27, 2005 This amber ale has a smooth buttery caramel aroma and a mild hop bitterness. Though the hops are more noticable than with some other brews it is still a pleasing taste easily enjoyable for the hop lovers. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 11, 2005 Crystal clear golden body with mild carbonation and a cottony off-white head. The exceptional clarity puzzles me for a beer that is prominently advertised on the bottle as dry-hopped. Cheesy, catty hop aroma with a dry nutty quality. Flavor is very hoppy with a dirty, high co-humulone quality. Malts are there but lack sufficient character to balance this beer out. Mostly dry with medium bitterness in the finish. Thanks to erway for spontaneously giving me this bottle. rabuc (143), carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2004 Gold to amber pour with a long lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is hoppy and the flavor is bitter grapefruit with a dry harsh carbonated finish. Not bad, not great but enjoyable. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 3, 2004 At the Brickskellar. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty tame, lightly citrusy/hoppy. The hop presense is more evident in the taste which also carries notes of some bitter citrusy grapefruit. Medium/light mouthfeel could use more malt to increase the body and make this a better beer. Good lacing and head retention. Ok.
