The smell is probably the best thing about this beer -- dry hopping is the way to go. The taste is a bit skunky. Decent beer, but needs more to it. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Copper color, good bubbly off-white head, hops & citrus in the nose, very hoppy body, I think maybe they chose the wrong types of hops for this, they just didn’t seem to do the trick for the beer, the hop varieties didn’t appear to get along with each other in the beer, the flavors were a bit of because of that, dry & spicy finish, very crisp & clean, maybe the receipe needs to be changed around a bit so the hops can work better with each other & make the final outcome better as well

Again, I’m not an over-hopped lover - I’ll rate fairly for the style & name (which I presumed should be extra hoppy). Hops aroma on the nose, not pale, but more orange / amber in hue. Definitely not full bodied rather thin. An OK APA that’s refreshing in summer and fun to sample with the others on location Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2004 Light copper color with small head but there was some lacing. First there’s a malty aroma and then you smell the floral hops. The taste is closer to an IPA, which is just fine with me. Sweet caramel makes it medium bodied. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2004 Updated: Sep 29, 200812oz Bottle. Smelled of hops and not too much else. Strong scent. Copper/brown in color. Poured with medium cream colored head that did not last long. Poor to ok lacing. Flavor more like a traditional English IPA than an APA. Tasted of hops and malt. Hops were not too bitter, and did not provide dry finish. Body was a bith thin. Not to bad to drink, but not too smooth either. Overall, it fits its commercial description well, but is nothing I will run out to get again soon. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
