Aromas of pineapple, citrus hops, bread, candy, and caramel. The flavors don’t come out like the nose would think it to. The citrus hops are almost undertoned with malt of caramel. Dry and bitter. This is a fair example of balance of its kind. I’m a hop head though... checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

Thick white head that stays and leaves rings, cloudy amber color and a full body taste. A nice balance, as you want some bitterness but not enough to overcome the palate. This is a well balance PA. dmac (1473), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Pours a very good looking orange/amber with a huge frothy mostly white head that has some very nice staying power and leaves rings of lace down my Allagash glass. Initial aroma was grain, biscuit, slight toffee and citrus rind. After warming some slight chocolate and honey sweetness appears. Flavor is biscuit, citrus rind, burnt toffee. Medium bodied with a slight creamy feel from the large amount of head. I must say this is very sessionable and underrated. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Citrus with a Cheerio graininess and caramel aroma. Cloudy light golden/orange. Lots of caramel in the flavor with a big hop bitterness. Hop flavor is subdued but some of a grassy dry hop flavor. Body and mouthfeel are medium. Finish dry and bitter. ben4321 (1026), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Overall Impression:
Pretty hoppy for a Pale. Nice taste to it. Enjoyed it more then the other River Horse Beer in my August 2008 Beer of the Month package.

Nose is sweet with some citrus. Taste is sweet and somewhat hopped. A tad too bitter for the overall taste. But all in all tasty.
