Kind of a slight chemical hop flavor. Just seemed a bit different. I could use a little less sweetness, and a little more hoppy bite, but the dry hop aroma at the end is one of the best I have ever had. HighlanderOne (546), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA

Dark cloudy amber, large bubbles. Large hop presence, but respectable amount of malt as well. Well balanced. Malt base adds creamy feel. Fruit notes appear at the end. Nicely done. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2009 THOUGHTS: Nothing spectacular, but a really nice, well-balanced pale ale. Very easy to drink.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium amber with great carbonation and a large, off-white head the slowly diminished and left lacing that was beyond excellent. The aroma was light caramel malt and moderate orangey hops. The flavor started sweet and slightly bitter, while it finished bitter and a little acidic with an average duration. There was some caramel malt and then lots orangey citrus hops. The light to medium body was sort of creamy with fizzy carbonation and a slightly metallic and light to moderately astringent finish.

Long lasting carbonation and good lacing. Smells a bit pungent, but mostly of lightly roasted caramel malts and a spicy, grapefruit and pine hop tingle. Taste of citrus and pine hop with a well balanced caramel and crystal malt. Slight bitter and clove aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit sticky, but well-balanced feel overall.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2008 VRBT. Deep amber. Flavors matched the aroma, straightforward spicy hops. Thin in the mouth, not enough malt backbone for my tastes.
