River Horse Hopalotamus

Bottle from jessup plaza. poured a light amber pour with a nice off white head. aroma is of light hops with some malt sweetness. First taste is somewhat lax on the hops but then the taste comes back at the end. Mouthfeel is not that great. but flavor is not too bad.

amber pour with a moderate body that is refreshing, sudsy and tangy with touch of soap. strong enough and slightly harsh ipa flavor of grapefruit rind. seems less in the alcohol than admitted. nice aroma of the hops with a flavor of greenstick vine in accompanyment. a hop imbibers elixer and a winner at that! good hearty burp.

Bottle. Pours an orange color. Aroma is caramel, pine, floral. Flavor is astringent, pine, soap bitter.

Bottle: Poured an amber color with a nice white head. The aroma was pine, floral, sweet malts and hops. The flavor was actually very smooth and malty. The Hops were strong but well hidden. Overall, a tasty brew.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep amber pour. Thick white head. The nose is an odd resiny honeyed sweetness. Sort of muddy and indistinctly hoppy. A fairly sweet maltiness with a bit of light bitterness. It tastes like a lot of other crappy IIPAs… honey-sweet and muddle hops do not a great beer make.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a hazy golden body and an off-white head. Aroma of table sugar, tangerine and other citrus. Taste is pine, sugar, bitterness, and a little bit of straight hop resin. Light bubbles. Bot amazing, but not bad either.
