Clear dark orange color, small soapy head. Brisk, vibrant aroma bursting with pine needles and orange peel. More orange sweetmess in the mix than most IPAs. Really delicious hop presence and candi sugar, this one is awesome. I’m probably under-rating it at this point. blipp (1679), Newark, New Jersey, USA

A citrus and tropical fruit delight. The flavor has floral and citric hops, with some candy sweetness and a dash of tropical fruit. Very good. daknole (2942), Plantation, Florida, USA

Poured with a great head, the kind that looks like you could sculpt something. Lots of lacing
S - definite hop nose but not super strong
T - slightly sweet at first with a good firm, slightly bitter hop finish. dry on the end
m - just the right amount of carbonation
D - definitely a keeper with a nice hop balance. Can definitely drink more than one in a sitting

I love my hoppy beers on cask, makes them really pop and this was no exception. Does pour an odd murky iced tea color, nose is super fresh hops, not super resiny but definitely very nice. Some citrus and some herbal qualities, kind of like good German hops. On taste, big body props up the robust hop character. You don’t taste much malt at all, but the body sure is present and dries out very well. A great find for my first NJ beer. agl108 (509), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Starts with some caramel sweetness and finishes with some citrus and pines. Very nicely balanced. Malts actually have the edge over the hops in this one. BREWMUSKCLES (1075), New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Light tan medium statured head with decent retention and a small amount of stringy lace. Hazy amber/orange color. Nose is light grapefruit, caramel malts, light melon notes and a hint of alcohol as it warms up. Med/full body, fairly well carbonated, lightly oily on the palate, tinny, resiny. Flavors follow suit with the aroma along with some metallic notes, orangey and fruity. Malts are way in the background though lightly sweet and grainy. Big bittering hops in the flavor and finish. A pretty manly DIPA from these guys, unexpected! Surprisingly aggressive for an east coast DIPA. Props to RH for going for it! Bottle procured @statelineliquors.
