It tastes like a decent amber ale to me but I really cannot taste the cherries, I guess there is a slight sweetness but no real definitive cherry flavor. overall easy to drink but odd.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Bottle… Hazy golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The docile nose is mildly tangy with a dab of chocolate and maybe cherry – maybe not. Medium-bodied with a tannic mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. Perfectly balanced. Definitely more cherry in the flavor than the aroma. Sweet, medium-roast malts offset nicely by mineral bitterness. Crisp, dry finish. That’s where the party ends. Aroma of alcohol and malt, some DMS, and hints of play-doh, with perhaps a distant fruity note and then a stronger grenadine aroma emerging with temp. Full bodied and coating with husky graininess and dry grass flavors late. Finish is quick but sweet with more cereal graininess. No fruit flavors noticed without serious concentration.
