Poured from bottle - sampler pack. Aroma of corn and gas. Good looking dark gold, this head. Slightly toasted malt flavor, some hops, somewhat sweet in the back. Fresh feel. Good finish. An unspectacular, but enjoyable beer.

THOUGHTS: A nice pale lager. Way better than most macros and imports, but still not a great beer. Smelled a little funky at first, but then became more pleasant at it warmed a little. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a sparkling, medium to dark yellow with beautiful carbonation and a small, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was moderate grain and hay, light to moderate grassy hops, light to moderate barnyard and some sourness. The flavor started out fairly acidic and sweet, while the finish was lightly sweet with some more acidity and a touch of sourness that had a short duration. There was grain, citrus (lemon), then some sour lemon. The light to medium body was watery and then a little dry with fizzy carbonation and a lightly astringent finish.

Dry yeast aroma. Hazy golden color with a medium and quickly fading white head. Mildly sweet light lager hop finish. A little chewy palate.

Another beer from the beer of the month. Poured from the bottle a great straw/golden color with a nice white head and had medium carbonation. Aroma is very grainy. This beer has a bit of a grassy flavor to it, acid bite at the end of the tasting and after some time between sips a bit of a fruity flavor starts to come out. The beer is definitely drinkable but nothing is outstanding about it to make it a regular pick up in my mind.

Lightly hazed straw color. Taller, fluffy white head. Dry grain, mild grass and a light acidic floral scents. Mild malt and light lemongrass flavor. Quenching, in a mildly odd way. LIght dough also. A decent lawnmowing brew.

I always try to keep an open mind when drinking plain old lagers. This however was very enjoyable. Pours a very bright golden colour, the head was suprisingly large. Aroma is a little grainy, but taste is flavorful- nice pear, touch of lime and a little beat of peach too! Otherwise crisp, clean and refreshing riverhorse brew. :)

Bottle - poured into an English Pint glass. It poured a dark amber with virtually no head. Just a lacy white head that lasts for seconds. Its palate is pour with very little body. The aroma and smell are pretty much the same with some maltyness and a little hops. There is a slight carbonation that tingles the tongue. An OK lager but not awesome.

I’d have to argue with the overall rating. It’s not going to crack the world in half, but this is seriously one of the better Pale Lagers, no doubt. The aroma is full, with malt, and some sweet fruit aroma. It’s rather standard in appearance, with a golden color, and minor head. It’s flavor is stuffed with malty goodness. It’s effervescent, its smooth, it a nice change from boring Pale Lagers.
