Pours a thin, white, frothy head that dissipates into a transparent web. Amazingly, it has the nose of hops and grain. The grain however presents itself in a far greater way, along with pine nuts, bitter hops and a buttered-honey finish. Very disagreeable flavour... whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Draught at the Porterhouse Restaurant. Clear golden body with a collapsing, sudsy white head. Aroma and flavor suggest lightly toasted pine nuts, buttery pale malt, and shredded wheat. Medium sweet with honey tones and low bitterness. This would be better if it were drier and had a little more hop character. I wish they would ditch the pale lager and shoot for something with a little character, like a Dortmunder perhaps.
