Bottle. Pours a murky brown in color, with a light chocolate colored head. The aroma is mild with notes of coffee and cocoa. The flavor varies from bitter coffee to a rich creamy cocoa as it warms. Also, as it warms the alcohol makes an appearance, in a good way. This beer is rich, has a full body, and a warm lingering finish. Really good.

Pours dark brown. tan/light brown head with lasting thin cover. Chocolate and coffee aromas. Chocolatey and nice mouth feel. Not too sweet like some milk stouts. Nice full creamy body. Very drinkable w/ a slight hop bite. I am excited that Riverhorse is expanding their line of beer w/ a variety of special releases. I will enjoy this beer again.

Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet milk chocolate/chocolate milk aroma with light roasty notes. The flavor is quite rich, with a nice balance of sweet and roasted malts, chocolate and a hint of smoke and burnt wood. Very good.

Bottle @ Goodbar beer club. Black, tan head. Nose is undefined roasty malt, cherry fruitiness, odd earthiness. Flavor is roasty malt, odd over-richness, a bit too much sweetness in the cocoa finish.

Bottle courtesy of tasting group. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Nose is dark chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. Flavor is lots of roasty coffee, pieces of chocolate, some definite milky sweetness, and some hop presence. Sweet and roasty in beginning, and slightly hoppy in the finish. Enjoyable beer.

12oz. poured into pint glass. Pour is deep black with small quick dissapating brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, and a copper smell. Flavors consist of roasted malts, coffee, coke a cola, and some sugars. Pretty simple brew that is very drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle Pours a deep dark black with a big tan creamy head. The head is mostly lasting. Aroma is of good caramel malts. Nice sweet roasted chocolate. Very good aromas. Also get toffe hints. The carbination is a touch light but good for the style. Has a nice mouthfeel. Taste is lasting on the tongue. Has nice flavor of the malts. A very easy drinking stout. Body is a touch light, definitely mnedium not full. A very tasty stout. Well done Horse.
