| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Bottle ( 12oz ). Opaque black, thin-looking with a large frothy tan head. Dry, moderately lactic and herbal aroma, hint of raisin, coffee and nutshell. Taste is nutty, milky, roasty, somewhat sweet but with good balancing dry bitterness, chocolate and a hint of mint - light alcohol. Slick, smooth, creamy mouthfeel, not at all astringent or acidic, really lovely on the tongue - really nice for the style, pitchers please!!
