Pours a five+ finger tan head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Opaque dark brown color. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Molasses nose. Flavor is sweet molasses and coffee. $1.83 for a 12oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

Bottle ( 12oz ). Opaque black, thin-looking with a large frothy tan head. Dry, moderately lactic and herbal aroma, hint of raisin, coffee and nutshell. Taste is nutty, milky, roasty, somewhat sweet but with good balancing dry bitterness, chocolate and a hint of mint - light alcohol. Slick, smooth, creamy mouthfeel, not at all astringent or acidic, really lovely on the tongue - really nice for the style, pitchers please!!

Traded bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a milk chocolate head that settles quickly into a ring. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and even a little bourbon? Flavour is mostly bitter baking chocolate and a touch of hops. Pleasant.

12 oz bottle via trade. My first beer from my parents home state of New Jersey. Pours out dark brown with a 2 inch tan head and big blotches of lacing. Aroma is malt chocolate, oats, light coffee. Flavor is mostly chocolate and oat, with some milkiness and a wee bit of coffee. Very sweet beer, but quite enjoyable, went down very easily. Would definitely drink this one again.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells of sweet malt, nutty, earthy. Tastes sweet with oatmeal prevailing and a tarte finish.

Bottle->English pt.: pours a large, light brow head that exhibits good lacing atop a black body. Aroma of molasses, grain, and coffee. The body is full, texture creamy, with average carbonation, and an astringent finish. The flavor’s duration is long, heavily sweet and lightly acidic and bitter.

A sweet stout. Lots of that "milk" stout taste lingering with some of the roastyness of an oatmeal. Not too dark. Medium body.

Roasted malt, coffee, toffee aroma. Good drinkability, a little sour, a little sweet, semi bitter flavor. Well balanced beer overall.
