Big, white creamy foam. Aroma of vanilla creme, flax seed, and cedar. Interesting flavors are a bit nutty, clove, and woody (like oak). Slight fruity detection of a weizen yeast? Very dry. Light medium bodied. I think this beer would best be enjoyed poured in a Duval glass. Notes: Flax seed w/ hefe yeast Dorwart (1831), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA

Ooohhh, not a good aroma. Sour milk, creamed corn and some grassy aromas in there. Pale gold in color. Light malt flavor with some biscuity malts. more corn and some light spices. Finishes kind of sickly sweet and cardboardy. I did not have very high hopes for this brew and I was correct.

Aroma is musty grain, secondary light/fruity (saaz?) hops. Taste is musty yeasty/grain, secondary light/grassy hops, fruity-raspberry. OK but not memorable. Good effervescence. mrant (330), New York, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Updated: Jul 8, 2008This is a re-rate since the ownership change at River Horse. Unfortunately, it’s still a rather "plain jane" golden ale. Not much in the way of flavor or anything else. No hop presence whatsoever. Rather pale shade of yellow with minimal head and carbonation. It seems that almost all River Horse brews have a similar flavor..........either from the base malts used, or some sort of infection? I’m optimistic and guessing the former. The only real compliment I can give this, is that it goes down better than most macros. Prcaus (159), New Jersey, USA

Slight fruit flavoring, very slight hops. Overall, decently enjoyable but probably would pursue other options. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
