Very sweet, reminded me if white grapes, no bitterness. I enjoyed this with a pizza at Espositos in Stony Creek Mills, PA. Johnroy (32), USA

This is what a summer beer should be! Good flavor, light tasting and you feel like having a few on a hot summer night! MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2005 Decent stuff. Bright and sunny yellow, crisp lemony nose. Nice fruitiness, bit bready, decently hoppy. Not incredibly complex stuff, but it’s not trying to be. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2005 Bottle. Pours out a slightly hazy golden color. No head, just some lacing. Smells alright...is that corn? I hope not...lets drink it and find out
Not so bad. I can see where the blonde/golden comes from. Pretty refreshing. I’d have to disagree with my good friend tsarman (the previous rater) on this beer. I’ll grab sixpacks of this over many other things for some summer grillin/yard work brew swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2005 A nice pale golden color with very little head. Sweet aroma of honeysuckle and camomile. The taste is very clean and crisp. Some more of the honey comes through in the taste and has a great hops balance. There seems to be a slight spiciness in the aftertaste. Overall this is a very acceptable summer beer. ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy, golden body with an explosive, huge head. River Horse certainly doesn’t cheat in the carbonation department.
Smell: Sugary-smelling aroma of crackers, a hint of pepper, and a slight pear-like fruitiness.
Taste: Wheaty, crackery flavor with a medium level of sweetness. Citrusy. Light pear esters. Pinch of spice. Not much in the way of bitterness. Dry, zesty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Well carbonated.
Drinkability: Y’know, it’s not so terrible once all of that damnable carbonation settles down. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA
