Commercial Description:
Notice a unique aromatic nose with a hint of vanilla esters, which comes from the Belgian ale yeast. Tripel Horse has a big body and rich mouth feel and finishes mostly dry with only a touch of sweetness. If you shy from some of the sweeter Belgian ales, we think you will enjoy this one. The palate improves with age, so keep some on hand and you can ride Tripel Horse down a new path with each opened bottle.

Hazy orange body. Nutmeg, spice, mandarin orange flesh, and hoisin sauce in the aroma. The flavor takes on more of the hoisin sauce along with orange and caramel. An oddly-flavored tripel.

Thanks Chuck. The beer pours to a hazy straw colored body with a thin nearly non-existent white head. The aroma comes off as sour fruits and interesting spicy grains/hops. The flavor is sugary grains and is lightly tart. The palate has some dry dustiness to it with a nice tartness.

Dark golden in color w/ an orangish glow and a small white head. Aroma is very fruity lots of apricots in the aroma some belgian sweetnes w/ some candied sugars. Palate is pretty avg. The flavor has an odd vegetable note that I can’t quite place some wierd citruses and some apricots touches of vanilla and some odd yeast notes. I don’t really like it, but it’s not that bad.

Slightly cloudy copper. Very sparse head. Funked fruity flowery aroma with some sweet points. Kind of nice. Flavor is nice too... rounded sweetness with slight sour yeasty apples blended in. I’m not sure how close this is to a traditional tripel, but I like it.

For as strong as the beer is there is no strong finish. Good citrus flavor, nice color, and nice head that goes away quickly.

12-oz. Thanks, Luiss! Pours a deep hazy copper with a thin white head. Big forward tangerine and orange nose; definitely not from simcoe, though--very much a candied fruit smell instead of a botanical doppelganger. Watery body and light carb make for a weakened attack, though the sweets and the caramel come together to make an interesting mid-palate. Overall this is more of an intriguing beer than a funor satisfying one, but that’s not so much a knock on it as it is a bit of a puzzlement.

Bottle. Ten percent! I expected this to taste like death, but was supprised that it didn’t have an overpowering alcohol taste that usually comes about due to large amounts of alcohol. Virtually no head, and a copper color body.

Pours a clear dark bronze copper with a thin coating of wispy white head. Sweet slightly biscuity malty aroma has some mild fruity notes and astringency. Body starts with a sugary sweet pale maltiness bittering toward an earthier slightly bready finish. Hides its alcohol pretty well, but could be more balanced and authenitic.
