The aroma is malty and peach with a hint of alcohol. The flavor starts surprisingly sweet with notes of honey. The sweetness is followed by a dry-bready taste. It’s a very dynamic taste and the beer is drinkable. I can’t believe it’s 10% ABV. RAYBOY01 (1849), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2006 Smooth creamy texture. Sweet vanilla and bread dough, with fruity notes ie.:apples and pears. Caramel, toffee, spices, and honey. ABV incredibly well concealed...very difficult to believe this clocks in at 10%. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2006 12oz bottle. Bonus bottle from Lou18. Pours a slightly cloudy straw-gold with bits of yeast suspended in the liquid. Small white head forms on pour and soon gives way. Aroma is dominated by rich tabacco-like spicy hops followed by earthy yeast and a good dose of sugary malt. Hop spice dominates the flavor as well with sufficient sweet malt support. An uncharacteristic slight sour note weaves in and out, damaging the flavor profile a bit. Medium mouthful with a thick palate that becomes a bit cloying. A pretty decent tripel that I wouldn’t mind drinking again. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2006 This Belgian Tripel pours a copper color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, apples, oranges, some yeastiness. A medium bodied Tripel. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of apples, some peaches. Bright Belgians and spices. Touch woody and peppery. Smooth taste with a nice dry finish. Nearly creamy in the mouth. Fruity and sweet. Nice beer, not sure it’s a tripel but its definitely in the Belgian family. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 2, 2006 Nice aroma, almost no head. Initial flavor is rather unpleasant, the cloves are mighty strong. Sweet aftertaste makes up for some of that but not completely. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 28, 2006 Updated: Jun 15, 2006Rerate: Medium amber-orange. Smooth texture, but a bit too sticky and cloying. Spicy-sweet, with nice hints of flower petals, coriander and clove. Malts were sweet (caramel, sugar cereal, honey). Almost mead-like in a way. A tad too much sweetness for my buds, though. Very light bitterness (grassy, plant-like). Alochol is hidden very well. Some nice things going on. When it first hits the palate it gives a bit of a sting but soon after the sweetness kicks in. All in all its pretty goddamned good, high in alcohol content and very easy to drink. I like. I really like. I say bosh to the 73 rating. It deserves at least a 90.
