Commercial Description:
Notice a unique aromatic nose with a hint of vanilla esters, which comes from the Belgian ale yeast. Tripel Horse has a big body and rich mouth feel and finishes mostly dry with only a touch of sweetness. If you shy from some of the sweeter Belgian ales, we think you will enjoy this one. The palate improves with age, so keep some on hand and you can ride Tripel Horse down a new path with each opened bottle.

"Poured a cloudy amber color with a okay head but not where it should for style. Sweet aroma to it, and sweet flavor hint of vinilla. Overall weak beer that is to sweet."

Bottle from lou 18 Thanks!

Pours a semi-flat orange with nice lacing. Aroma of the faintest vanilla with mostly citrusy yeast highlights. Taste is very floral and citrusy sour, with hints of orange and mango. The alcohol, despite being 10%, is hardly noticeable; in fact, this could pass for a brew with 1/2 that ABV. Nice slippery flow on the palate. Leaves a crisp, refreshing aftertaste of citrus and subtle yeast. Good brew that I would love more of to cellar and see what happens.

12oz bottle via trade with Lou18 - Thanks Lou! - Pours bright amber, slightly cloudy with not much head to speak of. Aromas of citrus, lemon, orange, yeast and a bit of caramel malts. Taste is orange, citrus, some definite spice, vanilla, and bready yeast flavor. Palate is pretty smooth for a beer of this size. Alcohol is well hidden and the finish is nice and dry.. I found it tasty but it seemed to lean more towards a belgian wit than a tripel..

12oz bottle from Lou18. Pours a lightly hazy dark golden color with a white foamy head. receedes leaving some heavy lacing in spots. Nose is lemony citrus, yeast and light malt notes. Taste is a nice sweet malt, some lemon hints and lots of bread here as well. A light sweetness is felt towards the end. Leaves the palate dry and filmy.

Amberish yellow color, pours with no head, smells slightly yeasty and malty. Lots of malt in the flavor, not a very clean taste. Maybe mine has something wrong with it, or otherwise just needs some time to mellow out.

Thanks Chris! Pours a very clear golden color with a small but very bubbly and rapidly disappating head and no lacing to speak of. Aroma is full of cloves and a grassy like spice. Flavor is grassy and full of cloves. Smooth on the palate. I’m just not a fan of tripels.

Pours like an agitaged scothch. Smells like a tripel should and finishes gloriously thick and dry on the tongue (great, strange combination). The part in between is average. Warming is as expected for a 10% beer, but no alcohol in the nose. Vanilla is the primary flavor.
