| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2005 Dense white lacing with an orangish body. Arome suggested citrus, chewing gum, Southern Comfort, apple. A bit on the thin side, sweet but not thick, almost limp. Floral notes finishing with cinnamon and citrus, perfume. Doesn’t seem close to 10%. Quite decent, especially apart from the mouthfeel. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA

High carbonation and great head rentention. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit and subtle spice.Flavor is bready, herbal, fruity with a warming alcohol mouthfeel Body is silky and smooth yet medium-full. A bit more alcolholic than I like or perhaps not as balanced as it could be but very enjoyable. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2005 Strong vanilla, lavender, citrus, floral and honey characteristics in the sweet, sweet nose. Some notes of alcohol and orangey tannins are also apparent. Clear, pale copper-gold body with low white head that recedes to ring. Herbal, spicy hops, tannin-full fruitiness and moderate to strong bitterness are all there but flavours never seem to marry and don’t play off each other too well. Somewhat thin medium body with fair carbonation. Bottle sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastatcouere. heitz (7), USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Nice aroma, very citrusy. Kind of weak for a tripel. Nice drinking beer, but not what I look for in a good Tripel. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2005 bottle...mostly transparent orangish pour with absolutely no head. I poured aggressively and it still could produce no head. Yeastly aroma, citrus (orange) presence also. Oh, thank god it is not flat. Sweet start, with some spiciness. Orange citrus, rock candy, yeast come to tongue and mind. The sweetness melts away and finishes a little dry. I like this fact, because otherwise it would be cloying. Nice balanced mouthfeel with some hops becoming evident toward the end. Well done, I feel better about this beer now. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Bottle - courtesy of slob. Pours a hazed amber with a small white head. Nose is peppery and spicy with notes of yeast, citrus fruits, light melon and sweet malts. Some light candied fruitiness as well. Taste is peppery as well with spices and yeast. More citrusy notes, light candied fruits (tangerine, melon) and sweet malts. Body is light with mild alcohol warmth. Lightly carbonated. Sleek feel at times. Finishes with more peppery spices, yeast, sweet malts, candied fruits and light alcohol. Not nearly as bad as recently rated, IMHO.
