Pours a golden orange with not much of a head. Aroma is sweet apple, cinnamon and freshly cooked krispy kream donuts. Taste is sweet with spice and yeast. Nice tasting beer. Complex finish. jeckenroth (81), Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Light Brown, small short off white head. Bursting with hops and a touch of sweetness and floral. Medium bodied with a watery text ture and light carbonation. Tastes a little too much of alcohol, but the hops antaste last through the whole drink. Touch of vanillia with a hops finish. Maddog (250), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Aug 29, 2005 Very disappointed by this thin, lifeless version of the Belgian classic. A beer must have more than a high alcohol content to be good, and it must be a gem to have Belgian on the label. I noticed no big body and certainly no rich mouth feel. Maybe it would have gotten better with age. iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 22, 2005 You can discern the Belgian ale yeast on the nose and it permeates a good sense of it’s style. Some subtle hints at vanilla and malty sweetness though not overt. A touch too much alcohol is prevalently and the body is more medium than big. Overall a pretty darm good attempt. Keep geting better RHBC! IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Poured a golden mildly effervescent amber with a small white head. Aroma is slightly sweet and floral, yeasty as well with a touch of hops. Taste is not nearly as bad as I expected. Very dry with some floral essences and very little sweetness. Not very elegant, but surprisngly drinkable. A tripel you don’t feel bad about drinking out of the bottle. Interesting. VAYankee (248), Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2005 Gold, orange body with a very small white head. Aroma includes vanilla, hops, and touches of alcohol and honey. Initial taste is not sweet, instead a bit yeasty with some spices present just a tiny hint of vanilla. As claimed in the description nice dry finish with a touch of sweetness. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2005 bottle-pours golden orange with a small whtie head. sweet, candy sugar, alcoholic, estery, lemon aromas with some hop notes entangled in there as well. sweet flavors wit notes of honey, grassy hops, and a bright yeast character. As big of a beer this is, the alcohol was not that overbearing. Not bad for an american trippel. beerbill (1977), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Super floral aroma. Pours a clear amber with a thin whitish head. Citrus and honey come through in the flavor. Although this beer is 10% ABV, there was no alcohol burn to speak of. Very enjoyable.
