Commercial Description:
Notice a unique aromatic nose with a hint of vanilla esters, which comes from the Belgian ale yeast. Tripel Horse has a big body and rich mouth feel and finishes mostly dry with only a touch of sweetness. If you shy from some of the sweeter Belgian ales, we think you will enjoy this one. The palate improves with age, so keep some on hand and you can ride Tripel Horse down a new path with each opened bottle.

Draft at Firewaters. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma is loades with lots of fruit, bread and slight yeast. Palate is creamy and finishes dry. Flavor has none of the fruitiness from the aroma and is very peppery and spicey. If you like peppery flavors then this is for you. Right now I’m more into fruity notes in my flavors therefore this one, although pleasant, really isn’t my pint of beer.

Bottle. Grainy light orange, hazy pour, no head. Aroma is almost nonexistent, maybe some lightly tart fruit. Flavor is the same, grainy malt, some peach-like fruit, lightly sour / medicinal, dry finish. Just not good.

Very good abbey tripel. Great aroma. Very smooth beer, pours a dark gold with off white head. It is sweet with its aftertaste. Very solid beer esp for its 10% ABV.

Ahh.. another from the River Horse brood, thanks Waylo. Caramel Gold pour, actually decent foam-soapy head with some nice lacing. This had some floaters, somewhat spicy sweet aroma that carried into the pallet. Yeasty with some very slight bitterness in the finish but again a little empty-watery.

Pours a hazy orange gold with an enormous foamy white/beige head. Had to let this one settle. Aroma of honey lemon, melon, banana, clove and yeast. Honey lemon flavor with hints of banana and light clove.

(USA) Courtesy of AFI96, Thanks Waylo. There is a hazy yellow color with a nice fizzy white head. The aroma has a clove / citrus smell with a odd taste of spice / banana / and sweet taffy. Palate has a sticky feel to it but overall not bad.
