A quite dry stout. Pitch black in colour. Not a lot of aroma. The flavour is mainly burnt malt with hints of bitter chocolate. Bittersweet aftertaste. The mouthfeel is slightly ashy. A decent, fairly light, stout. Cask (handpump), Riverhead Brewery Tap, Marsden.
