Apr 26, 2008 Cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre pub beer festival, Liverpool. Black, thin light tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Liquorice is there in mouth. More a dry rounded liquorice than sour as I was expecting. Slightly smokey too. Really a rather tasty stout. Lots going on. Very good liquorice, coffee, choc, bit of hop on end. Bitter. Good.
