On draught at the brewpub in West Bend, Wisconsin. Pours a clear blonde brew with an average white head that slowly dissolves and has a good lacing. Aroma of light bready malt, a touch of honey and a little citrus zest. Taste is light to medium bodied, very light carbonation with a semi sweet and creamy bready and citrus flavor.Finish is semi-sweet at first and then a dry bread aftertaste. Light on the flavor but a good summer beverage.

Light straw color with a diminishing fluffy white head. Light aromas match the appearance with pale grains and a hint of dry clover honey. Grainy and light honey in the flavor. Too much grain and too little flavor.

I’ve had this one several times now. Once it was very refreshing and tasty, the other two (or three?) were off-putting. This is the house ale for the Miller Lite crowd, those who don’t want to venture out at all but prefer nice yellow light-drinking beers before dinner. I don’t mean to be so judgmental, but I have heard on many occasions there the lines, "What’s closest to Miller? I don’t like dark-tasting beers." The bartender invariably offers Honey Ale as an alternative and to be fair, the customer seems to enjoy it. I don’t like the lack of balance in the flavor, it’s way too sweet for my tastes. It’s well-crafted for sure, but just not my cup of tea.

On tap at Riverside. Poured a clear, bright golden with a dusting of white head and some nice lacing. Aroma was rather weak with a darker, woodsy honey sweetness.. some vegetal notes. Flavor had honey and some grainy notes beneath.. some other dark sugars make it mildly interesting.. odd sweet finish. Light-bodied with heavier sweet and tart notes surrounding... left an odd taste in the mouth. Not so good.
