JK (2481), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 20, 2008 Strong cherry aroma. Cherry and wheat in the flavor. A cloudy and light colored wheat beer. I think I understand what they were going for and they achieved it. There is cherry everywhere in this beer, and it is a good fruit beer.
Guerde (491), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Apr 24, 2008 (growler, thanks Skyview) Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is just all cherry, and is similar to a Luden’s cough drop or some Cherry 7-up. The taste is also strong with cherry, but then the wheat comes in, the two flavors formed into an amalgamation that I did not find that pleasant. Finish of wheat and yeast with a medium mouthfeel. MatSciGuy (261), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 23, 2008 [growler] shared by skyview. Aroma is huge of maraschino cherries. Flavor is really nice, not overpowering in the cherries. Wheat malt is definitely there with a little tartness. Thinnish mouthfeel. OSLO (614), ...probably moving East soon..., Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2008 [Growler, thanks Skyview!] Pours hazy orange with a small white head. As previously described, the aroma is huge on cherry pie filling--just explodes out of the glass. The taste has light wheat with artificial cherry that tastes almost exactly like a cheap cherry popsicle. Medium mouthfeel. Definitely an unusual beer--unfortunately I didn’t think that the (seemingly) artificial cherry meshed well with the wheat. BDR (1917), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2008 Thanks to skyview for sharing. A very nice cherry aroma. Not so much cherry as cherry pie. Amazing. The body was just as cherry pieish, but the mouthfeel and finish reminded me of ludens cherry cough drops.
