Riverside Bent River Raz Weiss

Cloudy golden color with a light hue of dark cherry as well. Quickly diminishing head of white bubbles. Big sweet raspberry aromas any hope of catching some malt is lost in the berry patch. Sweet raspberry start, with a touch of acidity to help it along. Some mild wheat flavors found in the middle that help push the sweetness forward. Somewhat simple, but no real faults, just too sweet and candy like for me.

On draught at the brewpub in West Bend, Wisconsin. Pours a cloudy golden burnt amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that has some good lacing. Aroma of something that reminded me of Banana/Raspberry Jello, some light multi-grain malt and a touch of citrus. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a more distinct raspberry flavor than wheat or its multi-grain malt. Finish is semi-sweet with a lingering raspberry aftertaste flavor. Normally I don’t care for fruit beers, this one is pretty good if you arfe adventurous.
