(growler thanks Skyview) Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Weak aroma, but what’s there is a slight toasty note. Sllight caramel up front and then a large finish of rye.

As usual, thanks to Skyview for sharing his growlers. Brown body with no head. Caramel malt with plenty of rye. Flavor was a rye bomb. Dry finish. Light mouth feel.

[Growler, thanks Skyview] Pours dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is weak and to me disappointing. Some malt, a little sweet at the end. Taste is really big rye. Medium mouthfeel. Good finish.

From Skyview’s growler. A simple beer, but the rye flavor is intense. I have never had a beer with so much rye. Malt as well, overall this is quite dry. Quite smooth on the palate. A very well made beer.

On draught at the brewpub in West Bend, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark penny amber brew with a thin light tan head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind a good lacing and ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, maple syrup, a touch of brown sugar and some earthy spice. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a dry toasted multi-grain malt with some sweet brown sugar flavor. Finish is slightly dry with a dry multi-grain flavor in the aftertaste. Very little bitterness in this specialty brew.
