Riverside Clev’s Aged Old World Oktoberfest

On tap at Riverside Brewpub. Yellow with next to no head. Aroma of standard Okto stuff, muted at that. Toasted Munich malts, noble hops and light breadiness. Taste of Munich malts, noble hops and not much else. Aftertaste is kind of bad, worst beer on the sampler.

Pours just a touch darker than pale lager. Basically no aroma at all. Some ok hop and malt characteristics, but overall lacking any of the great qualities of an Oktoberfest.

Simple but solid. Malt and some bread, biscuit flavor. Orange in color. To style, and drinkable. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.

Average amber color; sweet malty front, with a low vegetal quality that keeps it decent. Tingly palate (held up well under close care). Not bad in the style. (growler shared by Skyview)

[Growler] shared by skyview. Pours clear deep gold with a small off white head. Aroma is very buttery with a lot of lagery yeasty character. Flavor is buttered popcorn, odd flavor that I can’t place. Dryish finish.

(growler from Skyview) Pours light amber with a white head. This aroma smells like bbq sauce to me, and that’s basically all I got from it. The taste is lightly toasty and nutty, with a very unpleasant finish that was vegetal and couldn’t end soon enough.

Growler courtesy of Skyview. Copper color with a thin head. Strong, buttery aroma. Lots of grain and caramel malt flavors. Light toasted malt and a smooth, buttery finish. The hops are barely present.

On draught at the brewpub in downtown West Bend, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some dark fruity character and a touch of floral hops. Taste is semi-sweet, medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some dark fruit. Finish is semi-sweet, some mild metallic texture with a mild bitterness that slowly disappears.
